I read just yesterday in the LA Times Real Estate section an article that at first put a smile on my face.  But then as I read on, I realized that I was only laughing at myself…..and my colleagues.  Well, maybe not.

The basis of the article was putting notice to those out there, both buyers and sellers alike that us, “Real Estate agents” are not going to put up with people wasting our time anymore.  The word “waste” was used and that’s when I got offended.

So for the record, I have this to say….”It’s real estate folks, and I get it!”  Finding and buying a home does not happen overnight.  Perhaps the market over the past couple years has been a little too easy. Perhaps some agents just got spoiled.

Sure, time is money. But clients are money too! My partner Jamie and I will work as hard as we can to help our clients find or sell their home.  And if that takes a bit longer these days, then we’ll be sure to spend it very carefully.  And if we have to let a few clients go, or decide not to work with them from the get-go, then that is our prerogative.  After all, it is a business and it has to be run efficiently.
