sycamore project

I’m scouring Los Angeles for new construction projects today with my partner and we discovered a townhouse project that caught our eagle eyes.  We see new developments going up in our city of angels everyday but let me tell you most of it isn’t angelic at all.

Not much attention to detail from the basics of construction to the hardware finishes.  We actually walked into a brand new townhouse project where one of the walls was at a 20 degree angle for goodness sakes!  How could you miss that?  Daniel and I said the listing agent would have to show the units with a tilted head or at the very least employ clowns to distract from that obvious of a building flaw. This upcoming project was a delight.  The supervisor had not only paid attention to detail but kept it consistent throughout the design.  He was a former artistic director in the film business and really loved what he was doing.  We even threw on a couple of hardhats and got a preliminary tour.  He said the project was killing him dollar-wise but he wanted it done right.  Now that’s something we don’t hear everyday.  I’m a firm believer of you get what you pay for and perhaps he should have a little pow-wow with the other builder and let him know if it’s done right in the first place you don’t need to hire clowns.
