I attended last evening Margaret Cho’s Sensuous Woman show at the Village and I have to say it was something spectacular.A burlesque-style show was not what I was expecting. In fact, I thought it was another one-woman stand up comedy show. At first, I was disappointed. I really was looking forward to another comedy routine, and most certainly hoping to be subjected to her infectious routine mocking her mother(which to my delight-she did!). The folks I was talking to prior to the show did not set me up to see a “great” show. In fact, they made it sound like a drab! But I have to tell you, for the majority of the time I was in stitches. It’s silly, stupid, shocking, a little upsetting and educational. The main message according to Margaret herself………”everyone is beautiful!”I, for one, like that message and walked away feeling……………………beautiful!
