One cat’s upkeep isn’t worth a fight Question(scroll to the middle of the page):I just found out that my homeowner association condominium fees have been used to feed a feral cat that resides in the front yard of my condo. I have been told that the cat keeps rats and mice away. But I had no idea until today that hundreds of dollars of condo fees have been spent to spay her, implant a chip and feed her. I think this is an abuse of our homeowner association money. How should I handle this matter?

Answer: You should forget about it. If the homeowner association board of directors and/or the condominium management company authorized the expenditures, and since the cat is earning her keep, it sounds like a wise investment. There are bigger worries in life.
